What is Ghost?
The term “ghost” which I am talking about is not defined as the disembodied spirit or soul of a deceased person. Actually, here, Ghost is a kind of software produced by Symantec, it can clone (copy) the entire contents of a hard disk to another computer's hard disk or to other storage media, automatically formatting and partitioning the target disk. Ghost is especially useful when one system is to be replicated on a number of computers or when someone wants to back up everything on their personal computer, often while reinstalling an operating system. A Ghost program is used to create image files that contain a partition or whole hard disk data information. This allows you to recover data. If the present data is damaged by a previous ghost image file, it means that the overwritten hard disk is the same size as the image file. If the data you want to recover is in the place of the overwritten, it is impossible to get these data to be recovered. However, if it is outside of this range, it might have a chance to recover data after ghost with data recovery tools.
